Alaska beer maker to expand sales to Texas

JUNEAU, Alaska (AP) — A southeast Alaska brewery says it will soon be offering its beers in Texas.

A representative of the Alaskan Brewing Co. says the brewery has been researching expanding to Texas for close to a year.

Ashley Johnston says the company hopes to have the beer in Texas sometime in March, starting with draught beer first. The company plans to begin distributing six-packs, twelve-packs and cases sometime in April.

KINY says Texas will be the 14th state to carry Alaskan Brewing Co. products.
