U.S. Air Force Band of the West

A very special concert will take place Saturday at the Fort Brown Memorial Center in Brownsville.

The Chamber of Commerce welcomes the award winning U.S. Air Force Band of the West for a free performance.

These performances are always popular, leaving listeners awestruck.

Created in 1941, the band has performed for presidents, heads of state, and dignitaries from around the world, earning one of the best reputations among American military bands.

In 2006 these highly trained professional musicians earned their fifth Col. George S. Howard Citation of Musical Excellence for Military Concert Bands.

The band travels more than 125,000 miles a year performing over 300 shows for military personnel and civilians.
