Island's free shuttle extends hours for holiday weekend

To help people get around over the Fourth of July holiday the Town of South Padre Island's free transportation system, the Wave, will be extending its hours of operation. On Friday, July 3 and Saturday, July 4. The buseswill end operation at the following times:

Port Isabel will end at 10 p.m.

Gulf Boulevard will end at midnight.

Padre Boulevard will end at 3 a.m.

The approximate wait time for buses on Padre Boulevard will be 10-15 minutes, according to a town press release.
