Coast Guard searching for man near South Padre Island

The US Coast Guard is searching for a reportedly intoxicated man who walked into the surf around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday near a South Padre Island hotel.
According to a Coast Guard statement, morning fog prevented the earlier search by air operations, but a 33-foot search vessel has been looking for the man.
The missing man is described as about 325 pounds, wearing white swim trunks. He was reportedly last seen near the La Copa-Best Western Hotel.
