Mission police investigate possible attempted kidnapping

Mission police have one man in custody after a possible attempted kidnapping Saturday evening.

Mission police responded about 6:30 p.m. to 2026 E. 28th St. in reference to the possible attempted kidnapping, Assistant Police Chief Martin Garza said.

Details of what occurred remained unclear late Saturday evening, but Garza said officers found a man in the neighborhood who was taken into custody for questioning.

Investigators also continued to question the homeowner Saturday evening.

"It's still up in the air," Garza said of the investigation.

No one was taken from the home and no injuries were reported, he said.

"They're fine," Garza said of the residents.
