‘Dinosaur George' visits the Valley

Children can meet “Dinosaur George” Blasing, a self taught paleontologist and animal behaviorist with 35 years of experience, Thursday, Aug. 5, from 7-8 p.m. at Quinta Mazatlan, the McAllen Wing of the World Birding Center.
Dinosaur George will bring a large collection of skulls, teeth, claws and bones to Quinta Mazatlan for his presentation to children and adults.  He co-created, wrote and hosted a 12-part series for the History Channel called “Jurassic Fight Club” and is currently involved in the creation of a traveling dinosaur exhibit, scheduled to travel throughout North America.  Dinosaur George is a highly respected and sought after public figure who shares his love of “all things prehistoric” with throngs of enthusiastic fans.
Thursday Evening Explorations is hosted by Quinta Mazatlan, City of McAllen Parks and Recreation Department. The series is generously sponsored by Freels Orthodontics every Thursday evening through Aug. 19. The program fee is $2 for adults and $1 for children and seniors.
