April 26-29: 2012 RGV International Poetry Festival at various locations. Now accepting submissions for the anthology “Boundless” through March 10, registration is also open for the festival. For more details, locations and how to submit your poem for publication in “Boundless” go to www.vipf.org. This year will feature Texas Poet Laureate Jan Seale and Lady Mariposa.
Ongoing: Need donated boats, RVs, fishing equipment and funds to support disabled government trained veteran volunteer peer mentors. No alcohol or illicit drug use, instead emotional healing with recreational opportunities for our veterans. This is a veteran’s service partnership of the VA, Tx Dept of Health, military and local veterans service organizations. 956-241-0159
